DESCRIPTION:Youth Rising In Brazil! \nAn evening of conversation\, global music and food and with Levante: Brazil’s youth popular uprising movement \nLevante Popular de Juventude (Youth Popular Uprising) is a Brazilian social movement\, founded in 2012\, that organizes students and young people in urban and rural areas across Brazil to engage in the struggle for social transformation. \nJoin us on Thursday\, October 17 for delicious Brazilian food\, global music and a cross-cultural conversation and Q & A with three organizers from Levante\, NYC\, and other grassroots movements. The event will be held at the People Forum (320 West 37th Street\, New York\, NY) Free admission! This event is being held in collaboration with the People Forum. \nWhyHunger believes a world without hunger is possible. For more than 40 years\, we have been providing critical resources to support grassroots movements and fuel community solutions rooted in social\, environmental\, racial and economic justice. We are working to end hunger and advance human right to nutritious food in the U.S. and around the world.
