DESCRIPTION:Join WhyHunger for an unforgettable night at the iconic Stone Pony venue in Asbury Park\, NJ on December 14 as we celebrate 50 years of fighting for access to nutritious food. \nOur Hungerthon Benefit Concert will honor decades of impact with incredible performances! Proceeds support the movement end hunger in the U.S. Tickets are now available through the Stone Pony box office or Ticketmaster here. \nThe concert will feature performances from: \n\nLittle Steven & The Disciples of Soul with Marc Ribler\, plus special guests Sameer Gadhia & Eric Cannata from Young The Giant\nYola\nAmy Helm\nJim Babjak and Dennis Diken of The Smithereens\nDixie Dregs\nGarry Tallent\nJimmy Vivino with Mark Barden\nSteve Chapin & The Original Harry Chapin Band featuring Tom Chapin & Jen Chapin\, Randy C Moore and an appearance by Danny Clinch\nMany more!\n\nOn the afternoon of the concert\, WhyHunger will also host an Artist Summit on hunger and poverty for VIPs at the Transparent Clinch Gallery across from The Stone Pony. The summit welcomes artists and community leaders to engage in an open discussion about creative solutions to combat global hunger and the injustice at its root. Moderated by Rick Korn\, participants include talent such as Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant\, Yola\, Mark Barden\, Amy Helm\, and Jen Chapin in addition to Jenique Jones\, Executive Director of WhyHunger. VIP experience tickets are available here.
