SiriusXM to Participate in WhyHunger’s Hungerthon for 10th Straight Year

Experiences include a chance to meet LL Cool J; a trip to meet and see Mumford & Sons in Nashville; and tickets to see Diplo, Brian Setzer Orchestra and Phish.

For a tenth consecutive year, SiriusXM will participate in WhyHunger?’s annual Hungerthon campaign, it was announced Wednesday (Nov. 14). The annual Thanksgiving radio tradition began in 1975, according to Hungerthon’s official website.

Many of SiriusXM’s music, talk and sports channels will participate in the campaign by helping to highlight some of this year’s most impressive experiences donated by popular musicians, athletes and celebrities. Such experiences include a chance to meet LL Cool J; a trip to meet and see Mumford & Sons in Nashville; and tickets to see Diplo, Brian Setzer Orchestra and Phish.

Additionally, the charity auction features several pieces of rare memorabilia on an annual basis. This year’s items for auction include signed guitars from Billie Eilish, Sean Ono Lennon and Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls; a signed Marshmello helmet; and tickets to the 2019 Daytona 500.

As part of SiriusXM’s involvement, participants in the auction will be able to bid on an opportunity to sit in during several popular shows, including those with Jenny McCarthy, Andy Cohen, and Sway Calloway. Moreover, bidders may win the opportunity to record guest DJ sessions on The Beatles Channel, The Highway, Turbo, and ’80’s on 8.

The online auction begins Wednesday (Nov. 14) and runs all the way until Dec. 12.
