Caring for the earth means transforming how we grow food.
We produce enough food to feed the world, yet over 700 million people still face hunger. Industrial agriculture prioritizes profit over people, damaging soil, water, and local food systems.
What is Agroecology?
Agroecology is a better way forward. It’s a set of sustainable farming practices that unite science and Indigenous knowledge, supporting ecosystems, all while producing up to 3x more food per acre.
Agroecology works with the Earth—not against it. It cares for the planet by:
- rebuilding healthy soil and conserving water
- supporting biodiversity and local ecosystems
- reducing harmful chemicals and emissions
- producing nutritious food for healthier communities
Agroecology also strengthens communities, not just crops. It lowers costs and increases farmer income, builds resilience to climate change, supports local food economies, and puts power back in the hands of farmers—not corporate industrial agriculture.
This is how we care for the Earth—and each other.
This Earth Month, join communities around the world growing real solutions to hunger and climate change.
