Harry Chapin Run Against Hunger

For the past 36 years a group of Harry Chapin fans have been organizing a run against hunger upstate at Croton-on-Hudson. You can run or walk a 10k, 5k, or 1 mile route. Some of the WhyHunger staff will be there and a portion of the proceeds will go to us. A good excuse to start training at the gym!

Daiquiris and Data Entry

Every year we get hundreds of order forms in the mail for our awesome Hungerthon gear. But before we can ship anything out we have to get the paper forms into our online system. That's where you come in! The plan is to do a little data entry, drink a couple daiquris, and have some fun.

Holiday Cocktail Throwdown

We’re hosting a Holiday Cocktail Throwdown. (This ain’t your office ugly sweater party!) A few brave competitors will craft their favorite holiday cocktails and the rest of us get to judge!

WhyHunger Bar Takeover

Join us at Dylan Murphy’s Bar for our first-ever WhyHunger Bar Takeover! Four of our brave young professionals will be bartending from 7 - 10 PM. All tips will be donated to WhyHunger. If you’re going to be drinking anyway, you might as well do it for a good cause!

Lunch and Learn

Join WhyHunger for lunch at the “Garden of Happiness” urban garden in the Bronx and learn as community activist, farmer and WhyHunger Board Member Karen Washington discusses the history of the garden and the importance of urban agriculture within the food justice movement.
