WhyHunger + Institute for Integrative Nutrition
We’ve partnered with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), to amplify our shared values of making nutritious food accessible to all!
Data validation for Find Food Database
For decades, WhyHunger has operated a national Find Food Database, Hotline and Texting service to connect people with free, nutritious food in their local communities. Sign up here and join our virtual data validation volunteer team! Without having to leave your home, you can help us keep the map up to date by calling food distribution points and asking a series of questions about their hours and operations in light of COVID-19.
Volunteer support on Hunger Hotline
Right now, we’re experiencing record high call volumes on the WhyHunger national Hunger Hotline due to the economic impact of Covid-19. We’re recruiting a team of Volunteer Hotline Advocates to help answer calls and provide callers with referrals to emergency food sites and other social services that they may need. Leaving Normal Behind: How to Thrive in Our New World
We are happy to share that Integrative Nutrition will be hosting an IINcredible virtual event with expert speakers that you won’t want to miss. There will be amazing topics around the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of health, and how we can start taking care of ourselves in these areas in both the short and long-term. Plus, $10 of every ticket sold will be donated to the WhyHunger cause!
