We don’t need to feed the world. The world can and must feed itself.
WhyHunger envisions a fundamental shift in the way the world eats, rooted in shared resources, respect for the earth, and dignity for all people. Our role in that shift is important, and we want to share it with you. So, over the next six weeks, we’ll be taking a closer look at the mission statement that drives our work:
“WhyHunger believes a world without hunger is possible. We provide critical resources to support grassroots movements and fuel community solutions rooted in social, environmental, racial and economic justice. We are working to end hunger and advance the human right to nutritious food in the U.S. and around the world.”
Each week for the next 6 weeks, we’ll highlight one section of our mission, describe what it means to us, and show how we bring it to life through our work. There’s no better way to kick off this adventure than by sharing our organizational video, which illustrates our mission in action.
