WhyHunger and three additional hunger organizations will be celebrated and supported at the first annual SoWe (Southern Westchester) Food & Wine Festival in Scarsdale Village, NY. The festival, on Sunday, September 22, 2013, will bring community together through food & wine sampling, while generating awareness and raising funds to fight hunger, obesity and malnutrition.

Come out and support WhyHunger, along with Greyston Bakery, Food Bank for Westchester and Don Bosco Community Center, while tasting gourmet food samplings from Southern Westchester’s seventy top restaurants, caterers and bakeries, plus hundreds of award winning wines and craft brewed beers from around the world. The event also features celebrity-chef cooking demonstrations, product displays, book signings, live music, children’s activities, etc., rain or shine.

For tickets and info visit www.sowefwf.com

Admission to the festival is free, while food tastings are available for purchase via tickets redeemed at each restaurant booth. Entrance to the wine & beer tasting tent requires a small fee. Event goers will receive an oversized, four color festival directory, with details of all the activities. Attendees sampling food & wine will receive a gift bag complete with samples, coupons, special offers, information, product samples, and materials from all four charities.
