In February 2010, WhyHunger helped sponsor a gathering in Dragoon, AZ, called “Healthy Food, Healthy Future.” This meeting turned into a new initiative called Somos La Semilla (We Are the Seed), a working group in southeast Arizona that works to combat food deserts.
