WhyHunger is pleased to announce our 2013 Annual WhyHunger-Chapin Awards Dinner to be held on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City! Join WhyHunger, supporters and friends for a night of great music, food and celebration of this year’s honorees.
The ceremony will recognize the 2013 Harry Chapin Self-Reliance Award Winners: Adelante Mujeres, Forest Grove, OR; La Mujer Obrera, El Paso, TX; Little Village Environmental Organization, Chicago, IL; Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, Bloomington, IN; and SEEDS, Durham, NC.
We are also delighted to present legendary artist and WhyHunger partner Yoko Ono Lennon with the ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award! Among her many achievements, Ono Lennon’s activism and gracious support has helped grow enough food to provide over 6.8 million nutritious meals and agricultural training to children in 17 countries around the world through WhyHunger’s Imagine There’s No Hunger campaign.
Additionally, the WhyHunger-Chapin Award is being presented to Patrick Sullivan and RightsFlow, an industry leader in music licensing services and a committed WhyHunger philanthropic partner.
