Michael is a member of WhyHunger’s Artists Against Hunger & Poverty program, which works with musicians, the music community and fans to help raise funds and awareness for the most innovative and effective community-based organizations working to combat hunger and poverty all over the world.

With a career that encompasses five Grammys, numerous chart successes, personal and professional accolades, as well as collaborations with some of the world’s most prominent artists, Michael McDonald remains an enduring force in popular music. Along with his musical contributions, Michael has long been an active humanitarian. Michael was honored at the WhyHunger Chapin Awards Dinner with the prestigious ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award for both his musical career and his vast charitable endeavors.
