We’re big fans of the White House Kitchen Garden – we love how it’s helped to change the national conversation about food and inspired so many people to try their hands at gardening. We also know that it’s certainly not the only inspiring gardening project out there; community-based groups all around the country are providing their neighborhoods with the know-how and encouragement to start growing food!
That’s why we were so excited to see this new short film that connects the White House garden with the great BK Farmyards, which has established a one-acre farm at a school in a part of central Brooklyn with few healthy food options. “Different places; same goals,” says the film. To build the movement for healthy food for everybody, we’ve got to keep making these connections!
