 WhyHunger celebrated our 35th anniversary on June 21, 2010 at Gotham Hall in New York City. The festivities commenced by paying tribute to the 2010 WhyHunger Chapin Award honorees Pete Seeger, Ashford & Simpson, and the grassroots winners of the Harry Chapin Self-Reliance Awards. These awards were given in recognition of their inspiring work and dedication on issues of hunger and poverty on a local, national and global level. The annual dinner was hosted by three-time Grammy Award winner Tom Chapin. It was a night of great music, great friends and great accomplishments!
