Please join us for WhyHunger’s Nourishing People and the Planet Film Screening & Discussion on Tuesday, March 19th in NYC from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
This free event will begin with a short film about farming and community in Puerto Rico followed by a discussion with Jesús Vázquez from the Organización Boricuá de Agricultura Ecológica de Puerto Rico. Please come out to learn about agroecology in Puerto Rico and the farmers trying to rebuild the nation’s food sovereignty.
Admission to the event is free, and it will be held at the Puerto Rican-owned Port Morris Distillery, 780 East 133rd Street, at 6pm. Traditional Puerto Rican fare and drinks by Liberation Cuisine and Port Morris Distillery will be provided and music by DJ Star Dao will round out the night.
